My Journey to Become a Young Professional Working in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Sector

Their contempt and laughter are the things that make me overcome and find success way. I passed an engineering school entrance exam and then I got a scholarship after that. My biggest goal was to study hard and graduate successfully. Then I will help solve social issues by using the skills that I learn from the university, especially the issue of clean water.
I think that there is a lack of human resources in the water sector. Especially people living in remote and rural areas, they are lacking a lot of knowledge in the field of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). Within this Cambodian social context, women do not have the right to express themselves as much as they can. I encourage women to have the courage to speak out. Hence, I also would like to raise awareness of WASH on local people for them to understand more on the issues of clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.
